South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) club Chippa United has set its sights on acquiring Super Eagles defender Faisal Sani for the upcoming season, according to sources at SCORENigeria.

Faisal Sani, a highly-rated leftback, boasts international experience having been capped by both the Super Eagles and the Nigeria U23s. Known for his skill and versatility, Sani has garnered serious interest from Chippa United, a club that already boasts Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.

Chippa United, based in Port Elizabeth, has a history of recruiting Nigerian talent, including prominent names such as Daniel Akpeyi, Etiosa Ighodaro, and James Okwuosa. The club’s interest in Sani signals their ongoing commitment to tapping into Nigeria’s rich pool of footballing talent.

Having previously played for NPFL clubs Katsina United and Kwara United, Sani is currently under contract with Kano Pillars, which expires at the end of the season. A product of the renowned Abuja Football College, Sani is lauded for his elegant style of play and his ability to excel both as a fullback and in midfield.
